Avatar: A very high yielding British variety with a moderately long straw and good resistance to lodging and straw breakdown. Moderatlely late maturing. Moderately susceptible to mildew and Septoria tritici. Moderately susceptible to sprouting. Grain of feed quality with good hectolitre weight.

Sparrow: A high yielding British variety with moderately short, very stiff straw. Moderately susceptible to mildew and moderately resistant to Septoria spp. Limited data suggests it has good resistance to yellow rust. Good milling and baking quality.
