Mill Production Operator, Baltinglass

We are currently recruiting for Mill Production Operator to join our team in Baltinglass.

Mill Production Operator will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the milling machines.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • To support the production requirements of the mill by working as part of a highly committed & efficient team
  • Operate plant, monitor plant performance, in-process product testing and optimise efficiencies
  • Pellet & coarse ration production
  • Maintain cleanliness of machine and surrounding area
  • Keep supervisor and/or QC informed of any issues
  • Following production schedules/deadlines as directed by mill manager/supervisor and feed nutritionist
  • Adhering to Company and statutory hygiene, quality, safety and environmental policies and standards
  • Any other duties as reasonably required

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Setting and operating Milling Machines
  • Shift Work Required
  • Good verbal reasoning, numerate ability and mechanical aptitude skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of computers
  • Fork Lift Licence or loader ticket an advantage but not necessary

Manager, Topline Quinns, Baltinglass

Role Description:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this challenging role will require the successful candidate to build effective working relationships with both staff and customers, to identify sales opportunities and achieve both sales and margin targets.  As a key member of the Quinns of Baltinglass Management Team, they will be expected to take full responsibility for and ownership of, the daily running of both the sales floor and yard to actively drive sales, improve profitability and standards in the business.  They will need to have a natural ability to influence, guide and inspire people to achieve superior commercial results.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the branch in line with the company’s overall policy.
  • Communicating regularly with senior management.
  • Managing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control and ordering.
  • Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Analysing sales figures and forecasting future sales volumes to maximise profits.
  • Formulates pricing policies by reviewing merchandising activities; determining additional needed sales promotion; authorizing clearance sales; studying trends to facilitate planning.
  • Using software and programmes to record sales figures and effectively analyse data.
  • Managing staff including, interviewing and hiring new staff, conducting performance reviews, and providing on the job training.
  • Processing customer complaints, comments and feedback while working to resolve any issues.
  • Maintaining market awareness and performing competitor analysis and introducing new and innovative business processes to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation

Skills and Experience Required:

  • 5+ yrs. Experience in a similar role
  • Strong product/retail knowledge is ESSENTIAL
  • Additional Knowledge of construction/building/agri materials highly desirable
  • A proven track record of achieving and exceeding targets
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong understanding of IT literacy

Experienced Front End Loader & Fork Lift Driver Required

  • Full Time Position
  • Location – Baltinglass, Co Wicklow
  • Immediate Start

The successful candidate for this role should be an experienced operator who can drive/operate loader and/or forklift.

Job includes operating loader to load haul trucks, load customers trucks and stockpile. May include operating other heavy equipment, general work around the yard and other duties as assigned.

This position requires a valid ticket and licence for both the loader and forklift.

Experience, duties and responsibilities: -

  • Experience is preferred working in or around heavy equipment, construction or feed mills
  • Ability to work shift work, weekends, holidays when business requires
  • Knowledge of weight requirements of loads leaving the pit
  • Must be able to load trucks to specific weights
  • Loads bins to ensure appropriate stock levels and load haul trucks while maintaining safe area for stock piling and customer load out
  • Ability to follow instructions & maintain good housekeeping around the site
  • Loading and unloading lorries, vans and other vehicles
  • Operating a forklift & front-end loader
  • Preparing deliveries for the drivers
  • Moving and organising stock
  • Ensuring a clean and safe workhouse for staff to work in
  • Signing off and replenishing stock
  • Using Mechanical Handling Equipment i.e. fork lift trucks to move goods around
  • Performs all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Operate the all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
  • Effectively communicate with managers, co-workers, and customer

Experienced Loader Operator – Baltinglass

The successful candidate for this role should be an experienced operator who can drive/operate loader.

Job includes operating loader to load haul trucks, load customers trucks and stockpile. May include operating other heavy equipment, general work around the yard and other duties as assigned.

This position requires a valid Loader Licence

  • 2 years of prior work experience preferred working in or around heavy equipment, construction or feed mills
  • Knowledge of weight requirements of loads leaving the pit.
  • Must be able to load trucks to specific weights.
  • Ability to follow instructions, maintain good housekeeping around the site.
  • Duties and/or Responsibilities: -Front End Loader Operator operates front-mounted hydraulically powered bucket to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage or processing areas.
  • Performs all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Loads bins to ensure appropriate stock levels and load haul trucks while maintaining safe area for stock piling and customer load out.

The role will involve Loader duties and when not busy loading, work on site doing general operative duties.

HGV Driver / Van Driver, Baltinglass

We are currently recruiting for a new experienced driver  to join our team in Baltinglass.

This is a full-time position.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a current, endorsement free HGV licence and digital tachograph card
  • HIAB highly desirable
  • It is preferred that candidates have at least 2 years HGV driving experience
  • Completed CPC card
  • Multi drop experience
  • Competitive terms & working conditions
  • Good level of written and spoken English is necessary
  • Good customer interpersonal skills are an essential part of this role

The role will involve van/truck driving and when not busy driving, work on site doing general operative duties.
